Houston Stick Fighting Association

Greetings all,

The Houston Stick Fighting Association will hold its 4th Quarter 2008 Combative Event this Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 9 a.m. until noon at
Lyndsay/Lyons Sports Center, 2310 Atascocita Road, Humble, Texas 77396.

Our combative events are open to practicioners from all stick and blade-based arts from all backgrhounds. We currently have members representing Filipino, Renaissance, Japanese, Irish and Western Martial Arts.

Hey guys:

Moved to Laredo TX a couple of months back. No FMA out here. Any help or direction [besides the six hour drive to Houston] you guys can provide?

The only closest source that I am aware of from the top of my head is in Corpus Christi. A Modern Arnis instructor named Reno Lumampao. I've heard much good of the man. Good luck!

Thanks for the info., Daniel. Corpus is still some distance from here (hell, I might be better off looking for FMA in Mexico) but if Tuhon Ray OK's it I might start a training group down here...

Now, where do I buy a Houston Stick?

Or, is it the Houston Stick I'm expected to fight?

Maybe I should learn more about this sport before I get involved.
