Hi!
I'm currently training Lameco Eskrima and I'm also thinking about taking either boxing or fencing classes. Does anybody have any thoughts about which of these arts would be the best complement to my Lameco training - and exactly why? |

How long have you trained in Lameco and how deep have you gotten into Lameco?
Lameco, from what I understand, already covers alot of fencing and boxing. I may be wrong, but with most Filipino Martial Arts, the only range not emphasized is the groundfighting range. Lameco is comprised of 3 major systems and 6 minor systems (someone correct me if I'm wrong)-it is very complete. I could be wrong (but I doubt it)- fencing and boxing in addition to Lameco training would only be redundant training. In my humble opinion, stick with the Lameco for a while and then branch out. Good luck! |
