Thanks guys, and yes Marc Denny does teach @ IAMA on Saturday afternoons. So I don't believe there would be a conflict of interest.

Hey, I wonder if we have met...I have been to several Doce Pares seminars at IMB with GM Cacoy Canete...I enjoy going into what I consider a "museum" that GM Bustillo has...

A side note...

I also looked at the IMB Academy website...at the Arnold tournament, it shows a "Guro" Fred Grochulski fighting a Guro...from the article in news section,the person Fred fought is an instructor...in fact, Fred is a novice...but he was put in that division to make it complete...I bring this up because the article implies that Fred lost pretty soundly...and he should have...but it could be embarrassing for Fred if you don't know that...

Anyways, I hope to meet you sometime...

I doubt that we have met yet. I have only been training at IMB for a few months now. I do plan to imerse myself in all the opportunities available there though. As far as the "museum" goes, I find myself staring at the walls all the time before class. I see something new every time. It really is an awsome tribute to Bruce and martial arts. I am sure that our paths will cross eventually. I think Sifu is having a seminar there in June or July. When I find out more info I will let you know.

FMA empty hand stuff will definitely improve your stand up game. Of course, FMA weapons training really compliments your empty hand work, too. If you keep training with Guro Dan, your'll eventually wan to do it all, anyway. Best of luck at the Academy.

Well ... that article is somewhat biased in general and has several errors in some of the details.

The guy who wrote it, Tony, is a good guy and a good martial artist ... but there are some holes in his perspective of what happened there.

Some of the errors he made were in who fought whom and from where they hailed. You probably noticed also that he said Fred was from, I believe, Indiana ... which you know isn't true

Some of the other stuff in the article was, as I said, simply biased. I won't address these for the simple fact that I'm probably biased too

All I will say is that my perspective on and memory of certain aspects in his article was a little different. Overall, though, his article was good.

It *was* a good event, though, and a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the 2003 Arnold and hope our turnout is even bigger.

My advice to a new Inosanto student: Do 100 angle 1's full power on a bag. Then do 100 angle 2's full power on a bag. Make sure to do this at least 3x per week.
