![]() | Silat is a bunch of grappling arts concerned with breaking spines. Of course if you trained it hard and vs resisting people, it would do fine.

![]() | It's not the art, its how you train. The "art" is supposed to become individualized for the artist or fighter. Even with the weapons, alot of "weapon" arts don't train realistically enough. If a silat MAist or FMAist were given 6 months to train for a UFC or pride, I'm pretty sure they would train against other people that have fought in those types of tournaments, and that person would learn really fast in his sparring sessions with real fighters, what would work and what wouldn't. Technique application vs technique perfection. What is more perfect than a technique that can be applied during real time? Just my opinion. |
