those of you who have seen dog brothers video 6 have probably seen the stick vs. bokken segment. in it, eric fights a man who wields a bokken, and I've never seen one quite like it.
the bokken the man has looks a lot like a katana. It looks agile, pointy, strong and dangerous. most of the practice katana i find are really just shaped heavy clubs.. anyone know where I can find a bokken like in the video?

I bought a pair of hickory sticks from this company. He makes bokkens too.
http://www.bobsbokkens.bigstep.com/ Here's another company that uses some exotic wood. I haven't bought anything from them so I don't know how good the products are. Mouse click on Hoshin Porducts, then Training Weapons. http://www.hoshinjutsu.org [Edited by K Williams on 11-09-2000 at 01:44 AM]

You should check out Michael Enad. He custom made some work for us to fine specifications. His web site is http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/R...37//index.html . Michael's stuff is made to fight with. Check out the PAcific War Club. Anyway, he doesn't "make" bokkens, but he can do custom work. I remember he only used to make wooden kris and dagger, but now he's got the flatstick, so maybe he can make bokkens as well.

The weapon arts imply the they can stop the unarmed man. A complete martial art implies any fight can go anywhere...be ready and able to go everywhere. |
