Default Personal training certification

Does anybody have any idea what some of there better organizations are for getting certified as a personal trainer here in the US?

I have been looking but there are a ton of them. Does anybody here have their personal trainer cert?

Since I bought the gym I need to get this, or even a couple if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Tim Mousel will become famous soon enough
Default

1. American College of Sports Medicine
2. National Strength and Conditioning Association
3. American Council on Exercise (very easy, but reputable)
4. National Academy of Sports Medicine

Hope that helps.

Tim

Now for the tricky question.

Since I have two B.A.'s one in liberal studies and one in psychology. I don't have any in the excersize sience area. Are there any that don't require a degree in that area or is there a way to get around that type of requirement?

I see you can get it with ACE but are there any others?

I became certified through ISSA. It is a long process if you don't have a decent background, but it is worth it. For me, I did not have a background in any type of anatomy, etc., so studying was harder for me. It took me approx. 8 months of constant studying then going to Atlanta, GA to take the test.

Good luck.
