windsprints and well just sprinting and pushing yourself harder each time. Like you would in any other exercise.

I agree! Sprints are awesome. I run sprints at least once a week (twice in a good week) at a high school track. I warm up with a slow mile then walk around one time. I sprint the 50 yd sections on both sides and trot around the curves - 6 sprints on each side, total of 12. Then I cool down with a slower mile (or two) jog. On occassion, I will also sprint 50 yds. four times, then 100 yrds. four times, and finish with a full 400 sprint. As with anything other work-out, it's good to push yourself but be sure to work within your cardiovascular range. Start slow and build up.

thanks, I'm starting sprinting tomorrow. I used to run during the summer. Jog about amile, than finish off with a sprint. It helped, but than I went on vacation and when I came back, it was school time, so I didn't run. Gonna start running now since it's getting warmer.
