Default Best stretching exercises for increased flexibility

Can anyone suggest what are the best simple stretching routines that can be done without spending hours at a time? I would like to improve overall flexibility (especially in my legs....I can't stretch my legs that far apart).

I was looking at some books too and there are so many on this topic. Has anyone found a specific book to be excellent?

Thanks in advance!

I've heard a lot of good things about Stretching Scientifically, but that's mostly lower body. For upper body, try bridging. Bridges stretch you out all over and are pretty good in my opinion.
