Well, I was reading recently in "Popular Mechanics" about all these high-tech off-road vehicles for use by the military and special operations units, etc.....then I see this on the Net....observe the picture on the right side

well the reason that special forces in afghanistan had to use horses was because those special ops guys had to blend into afghan country in order to hunt for osama and his crew. our special forces ovcer there also had full beards and spoke the same language so they could blend in more. if they went over there with suv's and military vehicles there cover would be blown.
