Cool Losing Weight without weight lifting?

Most of the information that I have found on this forum refers to gaining condition by weight training and cardio workout. My problem is that I am a poor Texas boy with a family and a job I really don't have to work hard at. Another problem I have is lack of facilities for weight training I cannot afford to buy or go to a gym nor do I have a community weight room where I live which is very sad. So I have changed my diet somewhat in the last month or so and have not had any results I am going to make more changes after reading on these forums but I need some real suggestions for strength training on little to no budget. Heck I can't even find a good tree around to do pullups on. Oh one more fact about me is that I am 5' 8" and weigh 310lbs. and am 36 years old in a couple weeks. So as you can see I have some issues to overcome but any and all suggestions will be very welcome.

Hi Big Dave.

It is quite tricky to get the body to simultaneously lose fat and gain muscle. They are at opposite ends of the scale. Many people believe that it is best to lose the fat first, an THEN gain muscle.

I recently lost over 30lbs of fat in less than three months. I did it with this -

Building muscle mass is not necessarily the best way to gain strength but, if the mass is your goal, then here is a great place to start -

Exercising without equipment is a little trickier, but using the imagination and common sense can help a lot. These guys are incredible -

Good luck mate!

Hehe thai bri you were a fatty.... lol

Id recommend bodyweight training, chinups (although you said you were 310 so I dont know how many of these you could do) pushups, once again with the weight and that, and things of that sort.

Diet and Cardio are by far thee most important things right now, losing weight is key, once you lose weight you can put it back on as muscle, or just stay trim.

Cardio and diet, just take in less calories than you burn up everyday and your on your way.
