Default Working out through the day

Forget where I was reading it, think it may of been one of Pavel Tsatsouline's books, but it was talking about training lightly through out the day instead of all at once. If anyone is farmilar with this approach, what are its advanages and disadvanages? Can someone train solely like this and still make solid progress?

Most people only have time for one workout in a day, so I don't think many would consider working out more than once a day unless one workout is merely a cardio workout in the morning and a weight workout in the evening or something like that.

I think it would be easy to overtrain if you were working out steadily throughout the day, even an athlete would have to have his workouts spaced from one workout to the next with one being just weights to another just being cardio or technique.

So, personally I would not recommend such an idea it seems unnecessarily excessive, do one weight workout in a day and 3 times a wk and give it all you got instead of trying to do too much in just one day.

If I remember correctly, they weren't full fledge workouts. More like fitting in a couple reps when you could. For instance doing 20 pushups while you wait for your computer to start up. Hmm, wish I could remember the name of the book, but I think he said only pick one or two exrecises to work at a day.
