Default Boxing liniment

I've got a bottle of thai boxing liniment now. Im wondering if anyone can tell me what this is, and give any suggests on uses and quantities?

What ive noticed is it gets hot when on bare skin. This makes runnign slightly more interesting if its on my calves. I think it helped bruises on my shins heal faster as well. But im only sure of the first.
What is this stuff? Its yellow..... smells strongly. A bit like deep heat does.
cheers

I don't know what's in your liniment, but in general, warming herbs are really good for moving blood, and that's why they help bruises. Blood follows heat, and all that. Also in Chinese medicine, bruises, sore muscles, etc. are usually "cold" conditions and therefore need warming herbs on 'em. This is especially true for chronic conditions and is not true for right after an injury when it is still red, hot and inflamed.

That makes sense, thanks. I cant offer a list of ingredients because the bottle doesnt have one. Is over-use possible with this? I supoose i might manage to burn myself with it but i dont know how much would be needed to do that. So it did help the bruises... ill remember that
Seemed too useful to be true.
Thanks

I make my own liniment and I do it in a rubbing alcohol base so that it'll soak in better. Mine is so potent it needs to be sprayed on outside because of the cayenne. Overusing it does burn a little and it also means I have less for later. It is very good for bruises and also for strains, sprains, sore muscles, etc. Oh yeah, one possible danger is that it can make injuries feel so much better that you may injure them again by forgetting that they are still healing...
