shoulder press/ military press are great excercises for the shoulders. use both barbell and dumbell/freeweight of choice. or you can always do handstand pushups which is pretty much the same thing except with bodyweight.

or you can always do lateral raises with freeweights. with your arms to your side, at 45 degrees, and in front of you. those help i guess.

i'd say just stick with shoulder/military press.

It's best to have variety.

Two really great shoulder exercises I know of are;

Arnold Presses

If you know how to do dumbell military presses, it's basically a cool variation but's a killer. When your hands are in the low position with the dumbells besides your head, have the palms facing to behind you. Twist during the lift so your palm face forward. Reserve the twist when your bring the dumbells back down.

Bradford Presses

This is a bit hard to explain so google it.

I always start my shoulder workout with the clean and press! Great full body workout.

Default Non-weight, resistance excercises

Hand stand pushups
Most people (self included) can't do a statis handstand, so use the wall. It'll help keep you up. Go down to where you touch the ground with the area between your eyes, near the front crown of your head. Get someone to hold your legs otherwise.

The wheel barrow
Get a strong partner to hold your legs and push you at a rate you can handle; if your partner is not strong enough, you will die before you reach the 50 yard line; if your partner pushes too fast you'll eat dirt. Use your arms to support and move yourself for 50 yards. You will feel it in your shoulders.

Dive Bombers
These hit the shoulders and the entire back. They are identical to the hindu-pushup.
