You're not going to be able to make your bones bigger obviously.

If you're just going for looks though, you might be able to jack up the muscles over your shoulders to make them look a little bigger.

do tons of seated rows and pullups as well. building up your back will make your shoulders look broader. it will give you that V shape body.

Best thing...DEADLIFT!!!!!!!! You have to deadlift. Honestly, for the first year of weightlifting, I didnt do it, thinking it looked unhealthy on my back. Then I got into it, and thank god. My back got bigger, my bench went up, my body just looks better too. The increase in mass in your back makes your shoulders look big. Deads also workout your shoulders pretty well.

You risk serious injuries training martial arts, or driving your car?

Do the benefits out way the risks, yes, are you gonna start walking everywhere because theres a chance you could get into a car accident.

Chances are if you take the time to do it right theres very little risk.

Yeh the deadlift is one of riskiest popular weight exercises there is but with proper form and using a realistic weight for you, you'll be fine.

Back straight throughout. Looking up at the ceiling, shoulders higher than hips higher than knees at the crouch, smooth forward raising thrust with the hips.

Well with Deads, I dont load of 350 and try to scrounge out 1 rep. I put on moderate weight and do between 6-12 reps. Proper form is key and some people prefer sumo, sldl, hands inside, hands outside, etc. Ive never had problems with it and if youre really that worried, dont do it or get a belt. Personally, I dont feel uncomfortable doing it. To me it feels like a different kind of Clean now (cleans used to be the core of my workouts)
