Default Fighting fit.

I reckon that a kickboxer is usually the fittest of all the athleletes that compete as professionals. I reckon that a propper devoted Martial Artists is a lot more disciplined than most atheletes. It is good to mix the sport and the traditional, and I think that being fighting fit beats any other kind of high.

Focus is probably the best thing that I gained from Martial Arts, and this focus can be applied to every day tasks and scenarios. I don't consider myself a disciplined individual but I am studying self hypnosis to try and improve my lifestyle and hopefully lose some undesired vices.

I know no one that is perfect but I also know that if I didn't drink so much beer I would be loads fitter. This is the first vice I am going to cut down or maybe quit. Does anyone else have any vices they want to quit because they affect their training?

Default I quit

I quit drinking altogether and even fitter because of it.. some people will never want to do this, but I know that it's the right decision for me...

I've dropped all that drinking weight, my pants are fallin off now because I'm getting as ripped as I was before I started drinking... not to mention I love that clarity, and never having to worry about getting a DUI, giving it up to me is well worth it because of the benefits and rewards I'm getting.

I think your a bit like me then, as I was once as fit as a butchers dog but now I don't feel I am reaching my peak fitness level and I think it's down to drinking too much beer. It has knackered my head up a bit. What's a DUI?

Driving under the influence(of alcohol) drunk driving, and if convicted you lose you license and have to pay a lot of money...

Yeah, it is because of the drinking, even in moderation, like 1 or 2 a day adds up, and it messes with your metabolism because beer contains phytoestrogens that are responsible for the dreaded beer belly...

and I was honest with myself because of all the nights out that I drink, there was only a miniscule percentage that I was actually being "moderate" as in 2 drinks max.. good luck to you

Well I know I quit smoking pot when I started training. Pot made me tired and usually not in the mood to go balls to the walls in the gym. Since I stopped Ive been in awesome shape.

I really dont miss it.

Cool, yeah pot can screw a training regime up for sure. It used to just make me sleepy or just want to eat junk food, or sometimes just make me spew my guts up, or all three.

pot does well for me, but..

different folks..

I need to stop nibbling on sweet foods sometimes. If I walk past some sweets or biscuits I take a few nibbles. It all adds up

You have probably got the munchies, you might not realize this but you probably won't live long. You will become paranoid and depressed until about the age of 55. This is because the THC clings to the fatty deposits in your brain blocking the neuro-transmitters that balance Dopamine levels. This can cause Psychosis and Schizophrenia.

Nice post and even better picture. Has red wine got phytoestrogens in it?

Well done for laughing at that. I just sat there rereading it thinking 'ignorence pisses me off'. 'You probably wont live long'? What the hell are you basing that on? Never mind. Doesnt matter. Ill just tend to ignore your posts in future. Stating opinion as fact is a terrible fault. So is choosing to ignore any side to an argument that disagrees with your own preconceptions.

Talking Yeah

I gotta say............Im floatin right this minute, but...I KNOW its bad.

My biggest problem...I dont do it that much anymore, I cut back a load, but when I do smoke, I eat EVERYTHING in the kitchen, till my stomach is about to pop. And yes I know, this WILL kill my ass, lol. So im stopping!

But yeah, thats my vice.......and sex before the gym is a bad idea. Cant go balls to the wall in the gym if you just did it in the room, HA!
