Default Trans Fats are in everything!

http://www.bantransfats.com/

Turns out that trans fats are still in McDonald's fries as they never changed their cooking oil yet (they are still working on it). Also, FDA Law states that any item containing less than 0.5% trans fat is to be labeled as having 0 trans fat, which means you could eat three products containing .4 grams trans fat thinking you are getting none and actualyl consume 1.6 grams trans fat.

And many products are labeled as having zero trans fat yet are made with hydrogenated oil. ANY hydrogenated oil is terrible for you as it is trans fats, which are literally poison. Oreo cookies were loaded with these, but recently chagned their cookies to include no trans fats (good on them).

They got sued by someone for marketing their products to children so much with the fat like that.

Other products containing trans fats (hyrogenated oils) are Coffeemate and Flintstone vitamins for children!

Anything with partially hydrogenated oil has trans fat. Fully hydrogenated oil has no trans fat but many products labeled as having simply "hydrogenated oil" actually have partially hydrogenated oil and the manufacturer left out the word "partially."
