No matter what I do...it seems I can't feel the 'burning' sensation anymore when I perform situps.
What the hell is happening? I can knock out about 100 hundred and only feel tired...no actual burning. |

With any luck you're getting fitter. Do them on an incline, hanging from a bar or with weights held to your chest. Also make sure youre doing them properly, no touching the ground with your back/shoulders in between for example.
Also try twisting while doing them, like right elbow to left knee then the other way around. Best (for me) done like 10 normal, 20 twisting, alternating, then 10 normal as a set continually repeated. Like sets of 40 sit ups but without pausing inbetween. Do those on a slope and you should get the familiar burning sensation again ![]() |

You don't need the burn; the burn is jsut lactid acid buildup, which does absolutely nothing to improve your overall fitness. You can do biceps curls until the cows come home with a light dumbell and go for the burn and you will do nothing.
Try a truly hard abdominal exercise, like hanging leg raises. If you do 5 sets of 5 hanging leg raises (as far as you can lift your legs until you get where you can lift them fully) you won't feel any burn; however, if your abs are weak, the next day, they will be sore and tight, showing that you truly worked them.

V-situps are where you do leg raises and bring the upper body off the floor like in a situp, at the same time, and touch your toes. Usually start with hands laid out straight overhead. Then hold for 2 to work your balance too
Roman chairs...aw man, just look it up on google for crying out loud. That's what it's there for ![]()

Gut busters, put on some heavy boots or something. Get a partner to stand over your head, grab his ankles, keep legs locked straight and together, pull your legs up and have them push them down straight/diagonally left/right.

I like to do sit ups on a decline bench with a medicine ball. I have a partner stand in front of me and we throw the ball back and forth with each rep. You can make it harder by having your partner stand further away, or of course you can always get a heavier medicine ball.
