Professional Wrestlers have become more and more atheltic with each decade. Look back at Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Junkyard Dog, Iron Sheik, Nokolai Volkoff, Sgt. Slaughter compared to the wrestlers of today.

Good to see that the article mentions plyometrics - this is a "well known" method of working out for fighters. This article is refers to plyometric circuits derived from boxing training routines: http://www.motleyhealth.com/boxing-workout.html
Those final jumps are certainly something I will try to add to my training - although I am struggling to think of something I can jump up onto at the moment!
