Can anybody tell me how to learn to stretch this way.
I don't know what's it called in English, but it's when you're legs are flat on the ground and the body still straight, like this __|__ I hope somebody knows what I try to explain |

Follow what camundongo says. But do not rush it. It takes time and it is called doing the splits.

hi, i was looking through the diffrent forums and came up on your message. if you want to do what i call "side splits", what you should do is a combo of stretches i learned a couple of years ago called "relaxed" stretches and "isometric" stretches. the magic is on how you arrange these two. on the days you train, you do "isometric" first, then follow it with "relaxed" stretches. the reason is that "isometric" feels more like a leg workout with weight, and you can cool off with relaxed stretches. on days you don't work out, just do relaxed stretches. i can't give you anymore info than that since it would take too much time typing (and my two fingers are starting to cramp, ha ha). but you should look into these two types of stretches, they will help you reach you split potential.

If you are unsure on how to stretch, go no further, unless you plan on injuring yourself
. There is a great book on stretching methods called Stretching Scientifically: A Guide to Flexibility Training by Thomas Kurz. It has greatly improved my flexibility and it may improve yours as well.
