Default Fat reduction

Hey guys, I stopped doing MA a few months ago and lost alot of motivation for excersise due to a friend passing away, and as a consequence, put on alot of weight all of a sudden.

I'm sure the question has been asked, but as it's an ever changing field I thought I'd check what your thoughts are at the moment on the best method to trimming down fat in a short amount of time (I'd like to have lost the majority of my fat by new years)

I thought the obvious answer was shitloads of cardio at the gym, but in another thread excessive force mentioned supersetting with HIIT, and this strikes me as something entirely new, so I thought I should chuck this to see what today's thoughts on it are.

Thanks for your input

If you've never done it before and you are healthy enough to do it, you owe it to yourself to try HIIT. In my experience, it burns much more calories in much less time. If it doesn't work for you, the treadmills aren't going anywhere, and you can do your hour-long trudge. If you'd like to do a little reading about HIIT: http://www.cyclecambridge.com/Smith-HIIT.pdf
