Although my name says otherwise, I am not the ''King of Krav'' nor do I actually believe I'm any good at it...yet. Anyways, I've recently begun Krav Maga lessons (one lesson actually). So far I'm impressed and I really, really enjoy it. Martial arts has always interested me, especially those in which the entire body is used as a tool. Unlike boxing (no offence to boxers, it's a wonderful sport) I like the idea of using knees, and elbows.
At the moment, I don't aspire to become a competitive fighter but I would like to use these lessons as a spring board for getting into shape and developing muscle. In the future I plan to either become a soldier or work in the security field or both, so physical fitness is important to me. So onto my questions
1) I attend lessons Monday and Thursdays. What days are the best to work out on? I'd prefer not to work out on Wednesdays and Fridays, because after my first lesson I found myself very sore and I expect that to continue.
2) What should I eat on my lesson days? More importantly, what should I eat right before my lessons, and what should I eat right after? My lessons are in the middle of dinner time, if I eat dinner instead of making myself something, should I eat before or after?
3) With a focus on some muscle building what should I eat through the week? What shouldn't I eat?
Now I'm not looking for a strict diet, just ideas. Oh and if it helps, I'm 16, 5'5 and between 115 to 125 lbs (scrawny eh

)
