I heard that ' speed+strength=power' I only had 3 month of experience :P but anyways i`m trying out the "punch with dumbells" drill. But you lift ways right? Have you ever tried punching with them ? I also posted about this a few moments ago. Might want to check it out.

first of all u should have a stable footing, so you need to have ur feet spread out with ur left leg forward and right back, then put ur fists up, now i suggest just doing this slow and with ur left hand jab out forward and then bring back, then jab with the right and at the same time bring ur left hand up close to the side of ur head, then bringing ur right hand back.. then do the drill over.. etc etc..

punching with dumbells is good, but dangerous as it can mess up your elbows. Don't use more than 10 pounds. I use 1 and a half sometimes. But I hardly ever do that drill. My punch was also lacking, until I began working my shoulders and back over the summer. My punch power shot through the roof. Working your arms may not help much (except for impact) but working your back will. I fyou need a good back workout, email me.
