salam...
ok...first of all the WIRALOKA is not a silat...that is something that all of us must be clear of...its a fix pattern or a kata that is created by the international silat assosiation to be competed in the silat championship...the pattern was develope in indonesia and through the silat academy in indonesia the pattern was tought to key officials from counties that compete in the world silat championship... due to the various silat form all over the nusantara, wiraloka is the pattern that is hope to represent the variety...it consist of 99 steps and most not be altered in any way...this means the standard feature of a steps must be the same but the movement to that step can varies...example.. step one....standing straight step two...left leg pulled back the jurney of the left leg to the rear can be fast and simple or slow and with artistic gesture..its game...no problem but going from step 1 to 3 without the 2..will lose you the vital points... in this thread i will also post the official manual for wiraloka...the original version...given to me by my teacher, the initial officials that was tought the wiraloka in indonesia...if any of pesilat out there that have any comments and question about the wiraloka...please post here and maybe we can discuss more so that all angles are covered...thanks... salam... |

Husnira, I hope all is well for you? I'm very sorry about your grandma, you have my most sincere condolences! I hope you come back to the forum soon and share more with us about your silat....
My own wife was in the hospital last week with a kidney/blader infection and is in advanced stage of disease (cancer)... This forum is a kind of escape for me. I am a full time caregiver and manservant to my wife until she passes and my future is unclear. Join the living, enjoy your life, be well! Your friend, ~Ray
