FYI,
The first clip is from the Canadian instructor that says he teaches mujahideen, supports suicide bombings, and finds it totally acceptable for a 13 year old to blow himself up in the midst of a convoy. I'll try to find a link to the debate we had here on this forum, but it was some time ago. |

Here ya go. Enjoy the fairly radical, completely irrational input from the head of that system.

Hi Mike,
I didn't know anything about Mr Hussein, I thought the rest of the clip was just him being proud of his culture and I didn't think he was like the posts in question showed. Thanks for finding the link, it was an interesting read. |

Well, the guy said it in the thread I linked. His art contains nothing you can't find anywhere else. He said you can find material every bit as lethal in a Sayoc Kali gym or Pekiti Tersia school, so my take is - go elsewhere. If the guy's material is no better, then the only attraction is that he claims to be teaching Muslim warriors who can identify with their mujahideen status more than anything else. Did you notice the repeated references to Iraqi insurgents as "we?" Like he's one of them, sitting at home in Canada?
Fella needs to be looked at if you ask me. |

No no, no need to look him up anymore after what I've read on the link you
provided! I just liked the knife techniques he showed and their fluidity. Having met a muslim teacher in Thailand who was nice to me, I thought that what Hussain put on that clip was just some cultural pride. Luckily I was proved wrong. I also thought that it was only Silat and not a mixture of techniques taken from Sayoc and Pekiti Tirsia. I know about Spanish and Italian knife fighting, but from what I've seen the Philipino systems are really good and I'd love to train these, so if I will do it one day it will definitely be Sayoc, Pekiti Tirsia or other Philipino systems. I'm still interested in seeing some genuine Silat knife systems though. |
