Default American Kuntao Silat

Hey Tanto1, thought you might enjoy these clips.

Steve Gartin The Blade handler

Kuntao Silat - Tai Chi, Bagua, Monkey

The similarities to some of Boars family system is amazing!
Boar got us started cross training with Tony Laughlin and his students several years ago. Tony is certified to teach Willem Reeders style of Kuntao Silat and the forms and principles of Kun Tao Silat de Thouars system, seeing all 3 systems together is a blast.

Wink Makes me think I know something...

Cool...

I appreciate the knifework, to be sure. This (kind of) skill with weapons takes years of practice.

What a lot of, lets say casual observers fail to recognize is that the principles of attacking apply with or without the weapon.

(OVERKILL)

You'd think with such nasty tricks it might be more popular?

Love to see him working a karambit in each hand...

Maybe I should make a video. LOL

In a few more years my youngest daughter will be ready to rip me apart.

TT that is VERY cool! I've been exposed to some of the Reeders stuff, but not a whole lot. I currently train in Kuntao Silat under my instructor Joe here in Chicago. I only had the opportunity to train with Steve once, he is frightening with a blade to say the least. Uncle is even more amazing.

A rare look at Liu Seong's (Willem Reeders) system of stick work.

YouTube - Liu Seong Combat Arts/Sifu Guro Dan Donzella /pisau77

Side note Sifu Donzella is who Sharp Phil claims to have been studying with for almost a decade now.

Largo mano...? not bad.

Sharp Phil needs to cut his own fingers off so he never picks up a stick or a knife...
