Default Suryaid Jafri, RIP 1998, "Study what you like".

My favorite study is of the Indonesian / Philippine Arts & Sciences we call Kali Silat, Eskrima, Escrima, and a dozen or so other names. Why?

The answer is simple, "Who do you learn from your friends or enemies?" Of course not all Asians are or were. The Indonesian and especially the Filipino shares openly to learn more. Understand more, try all the weapons, find what you like, do what you do, sort of taking the alphabet and making words, the Philippine Arts give the stroke of the brush to you! Take the foundation, work and practice what you like. So you practice more?

"Yes, you practice more", Jafri would say. from the archive of hidden secretes, of Kali Silat, by P. Greg Alland. OUR TRIP IS THE PHILIPPINES THIS YEAR COMING, AUGUST 2009 - August 7 to 21st., 2009. Los Banos, University of the Philippines, and then on to Cebu City, in Mactan Island. I have communicated with GM Canete, and have open invitation to Cebu's Doce Pares. We visit there working with 1 / 2 / 3 grand masters and people to study with for many more days. Training and exploring the PHILIPPINES. The only way to study on this short trip, and worth the time, training and experience like no other method of practice.

We'll meet members of Doce Pares, and Dekiti Tirsia, and in Luneta even Pekiti Tirsia and the Master of Tapi-Tapi, the essence of all the Kali Silat Systems I've invesigated over the last 35 some odd years of study and practice. See for yourself why these DVDs are still selling today, because they are the masters and grand masters you often don't get to work with. And in the case of Master Jafri, well, you know the story.

If you're serious, join us this time for exploration, or next for training camp, Manila, Cebu, & stay with us. THE HOTEL IS RESORT RESTAURANT VIDEOKE-BAR LOCATED ON THE BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL ISLAND OF CEBU IN THE PHILIPPINES. NICE ROOMS -- 750 to 1,000 PESOS (APPROXIMATELY $15. to $20. U.S.) WITH AIR-CON + CABLE TV FREE USE -- WIRELESS DSL INTERNET CONNECTION & OPEN TRAINING.

FREE USE -- SAIL-BOATS -- TEN SPEED BICYCLES -- OPEN BEACH-COTTAGES -- SNORKELING GEAR -- FLOATATION TUBES FOR SWIMMING -- ETC.

FREE USE -- A TOTALLY FREE PUBLIC CAMP-GROUND WITH PERMANENT SHELTERS -- FOR TOURISTS WHO CAN NOT AFFORD TO RENT ROOMS.
Contact me direct for information to participate during the exploratory.
