Hey, i'm wondering if anyone can persuade me into one effective martial art or another.
I'm a 23 yearold male. I'm lanky, 6ft 3, and its mainly leg, which made me think of TKD, but thought against it because of the sheer emphisis on kicks. Low-level fantasy-wise i'd like a martial art thats mainly punches and kicks with a side-order of holds and throws, and Wing Chun blocks cos they're ****ing awesome. Also, I live in the Leeds/wakefield area if thats any help. cheers. |

Welcome....
Ever do any boxing? Kickboxing? Wrestling? I'll tell ya. The little bit of wrestling I did back in HS was great fun. We had good wrestlers! Most towns have a Judo club of somekind or another. If not in your town then perhaps near by? Almost any gym worth a crap will have a boxing coach. Get yourself there and start training...

I studied 5 styles of martials , both chinese and Japanese arts as well as Boxing. And now I teach a style called WarriorRage Kickboxing. In my style and the way I teach is to instruct in a way to build technitions of the art. When I set up a specialty combo, i explain why we do that a certain way. But, I also teach a weight lifting routine, how to tone, kicks , punches and combos most commonly used for karate and punch combos used for boxing. Then I also wrote a book on my style of fighting to help with the training wich is a book about 250 pages and over 800 pictures.
When I do my testings, there 4 katas to reach brown belt, you maintain a brown belt for a year, retest at that level to get your black belt. For Boxing testing, there are 2 levels of boxing. Test out on that for a kickboxer and that will add 2 stripes to your belt. When you test out for a black belt, that would put you in as a 3rd degree black belt.
