Default Hello everyone!!

new to this forum, have read quite a few old posts and found some of them interesting. I have a background in Aikido, Combat Jujutsu, and have cross trained in Mantis Kung Fu, Jeet Kune do, and anything else along the way. I just enjoy the Martial Arts, and would like to talk shop with others who are like minded....drop me a line.

I've been training with a few of my old training buddies in an old wharehouse. we've been training together for about 3 years, with pretty much anyone who wants to show up and bring what they know to the table. Lately we've been doing a lot of boxing, and trapping and mixing it in with throws. it's fun and keeps me sharp, and helps me stay in shape. I've talked to another guy who teaches under my old Aikido association, and talked about getting back into that, but the commute to the dojo is a killer (128 miles round trip), but I'm still thinking it over.
We've also been training at a annual seminar here in Houston with Dr. Yang Jwing Ming (Shaolin Chi Na) it's pretty interesting, and has opened my eyes to techniques I thought I already new. It's funny how you think you've progressed to a certain level of training, and someone comes along and shows you you're still just a babe in the woods....
