Hughes was a wrestler, and a heavy striker. He beat Gracies head into the ground. I saw the fight. I didn't come here to argue stupidities with idiots. You can talk trash while hiding behind a computer, but it seems that wit and intelligent conversation is sorely lacking online.
I would figure martial artists would have more of a mind than your run of the mill mindless jock.
As for Thai Bri, I have nothing to prove to you. If you don't like what I say, then get the hell off my board. Your conversation is old and moldy.
Let me know when someone has something productive, or intelligent to say about martial arts, if you don't keep your coments blissfully to yourselves, or go chat in the BJJ and MMA boards.
Peace out
Get off your board? I usually try to be chivalrous and considerate to women, and I appologise for printing this in the presence of the fine women who frequent this ONCE fine forum...(stabby and treelizard cover your ears)...

Listen here, you stupid bitch...you cite all of these unverifiable and unlikely happenings, use straight up fighting words about people's arts being shit, and how you are the fucking bomb, and then you tell some of our two most prominent members to "get off your board" after 5 posts, and think that all the other naive TMA assholes will wriggle their way out of the woodwork to back you up...as fucking if.

Like I told the last person who badmouthed the board, and our outstanding members...

We don't need you, you're nothing special...and since you think you know everything, there must not be anything for you to learn here...right?

If you just came to stir shit, you can fvck off.

stupid ****.

Default

I started this line of chat as an introduction to myself when I signed on. All I gave was a little background in my training as a martial artist and such. If people feel that they have to attack new people right off the bat that doesn't say much for the site.
This was a thread started my me when I started my account with the site Garland. I never tried to pick a fight with anyone, but at least i've been PM'd be decent martial artists.
I never said anyones fighting style was shit. I've competed in tournaments, I've tested my style. that's all that was said. I've sparred with BJJ stylists and have held my own. If you can't accept that, that's your problem not mine.
If you don't like this string, then get off. Go chat on a board with MMA stylists and not someones introduction.
Your rude, crude, and unamusing.

Oh, okay...that's not how I see it. Here's a summary of the whole thread...

YOU-background info...THEN boasting and bragging about yourself and your art, while you continue to go on putting down everything from the FMA's to BJJ, boxing...claim that people of other styles should "just....stop running on blind faith and open their eyes to what is new and happening now." Say that grappling is useless, and then go on to say that nobody ever has been able to submit or strike you grappling...gold star for you...aren't you fucking special??? On top of that, you make a statement suggesting WC and Aikido as the only complete arts;

"And wing chun is the only art I haven't had to change, trim away techniques, or modify to be effective. Being a female, my strength has always been an issue. With wing chun I don't need strength at all. Most martial arts make this claim, none I have seen (except Aikido) can prove it."

THAI BRI-(I'll paraphrase) this person must either be an asshole or a troll.

YOU- "I've studied Ju-Jitsu for 3+ years, karate and tang soo do for 2, MMA for 4+. anything elese?"
(...it's else by the way...and I've never heard of MMA being described as a style...who'd you train with, and what EXACTLY did you train...it might help legitimize your arguement.)

BOAR- (again, I'll paraphrase) oh, gee...we must be idiots compared to you...(or...you're a know-it-all who HOPEFULLY won't stay long, no matter how entertaining your bullshit might be.)

YOU- "What do you train? Firearm Fu?
Well, It was good to meet you, who have nothing real to say about martial arts as far as I've seen. and that quote of Jefferson, cute. you must be NRA. I think your in the wrong board, darlin'.
I'm just having fun reading peoples posts. It's a great way to learn what people think about fighting. But when they get into our class, their attitudes aren't so cocky, arrogant, and idiodic. Your way too serious. If the internet is your life, I pitty you.
Anyways, have fun on the gun range.
LOL!"
(FYI, asshole, Boar is a MA instructor who teaches a Chinese Martial art as well as an FMA, and some more obscure combatives stuff...you're the "cocky idiot" who's over their head here...smartass.)

JUBAJI-(making reference that Hughes comes from...oh my...a wrestling background.)

KOTF- (being hillarious...noting the dychotomy that arises when people try to seperate "strikers" and "grapplers" into different categories in MMA.)

JUBAJI- (playing off KOTF)

BOARSPEAR- "I train for SD, you apparently mistake the martial arts for games, enjoy your stay, you'll fit right in. BTW glad you find quotes from our founding fathers 'cute'"

JUBAJI- (Thai Bri was right...this chick's a troll/bitch.)

THAI BRI- (told you so.)

YOU-"Boarspear, your boring me. I haven't heard you talk about anything remotely close to Self Defense or martial arts. Find someone elese who cares about your blather.

Peace out "
(again...you have no freakin' CLUE who the **** you're talking to, do you...I love the "argue stupidities with idiots" line...wtf??? Seriously, tell me if you suffer from a mental handicap, and I'll back off.)

JUBAJI-(you're more then welcome to talk to yourself, you stupid bitch)

BOAR-(Oh, it's you're BOARD now?...bitch.)

STABBY-(Why don't you read the goddamned posts before coming in thinking you're the god of fucking war)

ME- you're full of shit.

ME- laughing at KOTF's post

ME- telling you to eat a dick...(and secretly hoping you get sold into white slavery.)

AND THIS IS WHAT YOU CLAIM THE STORY IS;
I started this line of chat as an introduction to myself when I signed on.

You're full of shit...and we don't need anymore self proclaimed hard-asses on this forum. (I'm grandfathered in)
So, either be civil, and argue according to a decent dialogic structure or...should I quote you...GET OFF THE FUCKING BOARD.

thanx, have a nice day.

Thanks for that summation of half the entire thread. I'm aware now that you can read, but comprehension seems to be an issue.
I never said anything about boxing, or that grappling was totally inept. I've simply stated that I've trained many styles and this is the one I find to be the best for me. I've trained ju-jitsu for years, it was very fun. But that was when I was younger and lifting weights. I've just found something more effecient.
That doesn't mean that ju-jitsu is a bad art, just not one I prefer.
You really seem to get angry easily, and you asume you know what people are saying to you. I didn't mean to brag, the site said to give an intro to myself and what I've done, so I did so. Not a big deal. I've competed, so have alot of people, I sparr and test out the theories I train, so do alot of people.
If you can't handle talking to someone who knows something of what their talking about, go bother someone elese.
I've PM'd you to further teach myself the lesson of futility in trying to explain things to you.
Like I said, I'm through with you.

You started off the bad by insulting some of our premier members. Listen, alright...it would've been fine if you had actually done what you said, but in actuality, you came in agressively, boasting and plugging your art at the expense of all others, and then told some of the most respected people here (boar and bri) to get fucked when they called you on your bullshit, and actually told them to get off YOUR board.

Your PM???...you sent me a reply to something I wrote...with no reply...try sending it again...I'd love to see you educate ignorant little me, c'mon, indulge me, asshole.

Actually, they attacked me first numb nut.
I put one post up and Thai whatever and Boar started all their crap.
I just made the mistake of responding to their posts.
Been real,
just not real fun.
Keep your board, I'm not worried about people who spend their entire day online doing nothing but talk trash.
