Boztepe is not in my "lineage". We use the anti-grappling he's created, but we train and teach WC, Jim Fung lineage.
My instructor has fought many people, and is willing for a challenge anytime. I sparred black belts in tournaments in our area and won. I've stated this already. Many people train WC/WT for a little while and don't fully learn the technique. It is not an art you can master in a couple of months. Some teachers teach short cuts, or teach chi sau and advanced techniques too soon, further confusing and not benefiting their students. This takes away from its effectiveness. Train it right, use it, it has worked for me, my teacher and our students, every time. |

You stated that your teacher trained with both combining the 2 schools, that means you have Boztepe in your lineage
When you say fought many people, do you mean spar, compete against of really fighting? If really fighting then WC is less for me then I thought, at almost 45, I only had a few real fights and am proud of that (never had to run either) Some having had a lot of real fights usually means they are hot tempered and sometimes demand respect that they are not having for others, Like getting angry because someone dishes their art after they themself started dishing other peoples arts |

I haven't had to fight anyone in a real confrontation in 6 years. Mainly, we compete in tournaments, and spar with other schools. He currently goes to a Kempo Karate school and brings students to spar with the Kempo Sensi's students. It's alot of fun for everyone, and we're becoming pretty good friends in the business. Great practice for both schools!
Unfortunately, most tournaments around here are TKD and AOK tourneys, and the politicts are rough to get around. But we've had alot of fun at the tourneys and with the people we've sparred in our area. We just like to try to give our student's every opportunity to test, and practice the art against other styles, and other martial artists that aren't their classmates or friends. They learn more and much faster from opponents their not familiar with. |

Man, I am really getting tired of people's attitudue about "dishing" other arts.
I've been clear on this subject. I don't care for BJJ, not going to change my mind. I didn't like the "sport" when it first came out! Then I was taking Japanese Ju-Jitsu and not only I, but many other Ju-Jitsu stylists find it a joke. If you guys are so "sold" on the sport. fine. that's your choice. not mine. grow up, and learn to deal with other points of view. It's a free country last time I looked, if you don't like my view, great! If you want to debate it, do it with intelligence. I don't train to submit an attacker trying to rape, rob, or kill me. I don't want to take a larger stronger man to the concrete in the street and wrestle him, while his buddies are able to attack me from behind. This is not a practical way of fighting for me, I'm a small woman. I need to end a conflict as soon as possible and get home with the least amount of injury to me. Simple as that. You larger, younger guys can do that all you want. I train an art that is for the street and I've sparred BJJ guys that come to class and want to test our anti-grappling. Their welcome to do so, Sifu loves to spar, teach and practice. We have mats, gear, we do this in a safe and controlled environment if that is what is desired. People like to talk tough behind the monitor, fine. I've been clear, blunt, and honest. Take it or leave it. You can look up our website and come to class, whatever. Or, you can just keep talking down and making fun of what you know next to nothing about. Your choice. Free country. ![]() |

We train and teach Jim Fungs Wing Chun. The forms are WC, the movements are WC, the weapons are WC. Sifu Emin started the anti-grappling, now we train and teach that as well as Sifu Jim Fung. The anti-grappling is only 6-8 years old with wing chun, and not many schools teach it. In Europe, it is very popular, but in the states next to nil. We are not affiliated, federated, or other with Sifu Emin Boztepe. He's a great WT stylist and instructor. We are independent from "lineage", and federations of WC/WT. My Sifu has his own form of WC and teaches independently. |

It has some self-defense value against crude, untrained grapplers. To claim superiority over MMA, wrestling, vale tudo, FMA and muay thai is silly.
