Hello folks, my name's Dan and i've been training in kickboxing now for about 4 months, my sparring partner is about 4 inches taller than me and has a bigger build as well, i find this situation tricky at times as i'm blocking his powerful punches without being able to hit back effectively due to my lack of reach, could anyone pleas advise me on good strategies for moving in on the inside, i figured once there i have the chance to use upper-cuts, hooks as well as elbows, any help would be much appreciated.

i allways like to jam the hip
but, in most meets they don't alow kicks to the hip. Another thing you could do, is round houst to the outside of the thigh, if it's allowed. For taller guys, take out the legs, and keep moving. For general sparring you don't want to hit to hard, just get a little feel of it.
