Hi,
I recently joined the forum and I’ve been asked if I would introduce myself. I’m from Hertfordshire in the UK, just north of London. I’ve been training for about 15 years predominantly in JKD, Kali and Thai, here in the UK, Europe and also trained as much as I can in the States. Through this training I have achieved instructor status under Guro Dan Inosanto, Sifu Paul Vunak, Sifu Rick Faye and Terry Barnett here in the UK. I head up a team of friends known as “Adaptive Martial Concepts”, you’re welcome to check out our website: www.adaptivemartialconcepts.co.uk Outside of martial arts I train as an amateur boxer. I found this forum by searching for Mike Brewer, who many years ago was a great help to me as one of my first PFS coaches, when I was in California training with Voo and Tom Cruse. So far I think there are some really knowledgeable guys on this forum, I like the way everyone tells it straight, and also enjoy the way-off characters that seem to drift in from time to time! Anyway, feel free to have a look at our demo video below, I’m the bald guy having fun smacking everyone Pleasure to be here. Thanks and respects. Mike Wright

I remember you! You're looking sharp, Michael. Did you ever get the chance to train with Daniel Duby? Some of those inside kicks to the knee look like they're straight out of his material. Of course, they come from everywhere, so that's understandable. Still, good to see you making things happen for yourself - especially at such a strong level.
Good to have you here. |

Many thanks Mike, praise indeed from someone who I have great respect for.
The inside kicks to the knee came from Vu, however although I have yet to train with Mr Duby I know how much Paul was influenced by him. Glad you enjoyed the demo and its great to be here. |
