Whatsup ppl! Just found this forum and realised there's many ppl with advanced knowledge of martial arts so I thought I'd join as well.

I am currently a Wing Chun practitioner after changing from Wu Shu.

hey

how long did u do wu shu for and how long u been doing wing chun for?

and whats wu shu about if u wouldn't mind telling me i know very little about that art?

oh and i checked out your site lol it locked up my browser window

I studied Wu Shu under Sifu Tang. It requires flexibility and speed. As for the type of wu shu, it requires alot of reversals and chinna locks. Never got further though cos it was getting to hard for me.

I find Wing Chun simpler and much more effective for beginners, it works almost immediately whereas Wu-shu requires you to develop alot of foundation energy before it can be effective and applied

yeah that link worked but not all the images loaded.

ahh ok yeah it didn't look like the easiest martial art when i saw it done.

i know a couple of guys that did wing chun it seems to work pretty well.

I'm sorry, this is the thread I should have found earlier.

I'm also new here. I'm in SF, and my interest in MA is mostly through movies, so suffice it to say I don't claim to know much about anything. However, I'm a big fan of MMA and the UFC.

How 'bout you guys?
