your blood...
erm yeah, well it's supposed to be an interesting tag line, fails. I always find introduction sections hideously awkward, nobody really reads the posts apart from your self and the next extravegent noob to introduce themselves. Anyway, I'm Nit I learn (always learning) Wado Ryu Karate in Buckingham (between Oxford, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, kinda). I am always looking and learning about martial arts. I am a IT Geek, my job title is Technical Consultant... woo I am waiting to see if I have a brown belt... its taken me +7 years, but I went to uni and got drunk for a while (4 years). My club is sprt orientated and so is very informal. However my manner in dojo is very formal and ceremonious. I wish to learn more and properly, sports karate is a fine art, but I want to know more than that. Hello all, hows it going?

Heh,
Increadibly I got more responses than I thought I would... Am at work at mo so will keep it brief until lunchtime... Yes another Brit, although I am a soft southern shiuf.... I worked out the difference the other day between Northerners and Southerers, its all down to engineering... for example, ouoop noorth they have very high solid stone kerbs, this allows for them to drink Newcastle Brown all day and drive home without coming off the road. Whereas Daaan Saarrf we have cute little grassy banks, which allows us to drink Old Speckled Hen all day and crash our newly lowered escort into a tree on the way home. As for JKD, as with all martial arts I admire the skill patience and practice it takes to learn a martial discipline. I personally do not think there is a 'best' art but I do think that the natural state of an art is always in a state of flux, boundries always being pushed by masters and students alike... In that respect I think JKD is a superb fusion of arts inorder to come closer to a practical self defense process... and I belive that if you can find a critiscm (this applys to myself) about something in an art then you should learn about it, strive to understand it, and once mastered study how to improve it. In this way your contribution can only ever be beneficial and not negative. I used to attend uni in MK, I actually lived in Buckingham but know the area very well. What your opinion of the place? I found it an odd city full of contra-dictions. will write more later, thanks to you all for such a great welcome ![]()
