Heres a question? did you make that up or did bruce lee quote that?

hmm. ok thx for the info and the links.
Not a bruce lee saying or mine. A friend of mine said it to me when we first met when we fought. he kicked my ass and i took the saying as an oath to not show off again. Of course then later i saw it posted on a website somewhere but i liked it anyway so i like to use it.
will check the sites and the book
again, much thanks

You have to train like you would with anything else, it takes a good reaction, precision, speed and timing. Don't knock it till you've tried it. Their wrist and forearms are the softspots you would aim for. Ive seen it work wonders many of time.

Maybe your imaging something else? You see that the punch is coming, you would want to take out their first strike, most of all if its a hook. that's a perfect opportunity. If you have a problem telling what's coming at you. Try focusing in the center of their chest, This way you can watch the shoulders for movement. Like I said it takes practice, My friend and I had practice this so many times over in all out fighting situations. Of course we ended up everyday with more bruises and bloody noises. Some may say that's stupid to train that hard why not wear sparring gear. You will never learn how to take a punch and handle it, If you don't train to take it. IM sure maybe your eyesight is bad and your reaction is slow, no patience or persistence in training, So I see why it would be hard to comprehend.

Amen!! At last!! Someone else on here who gets it!

Folks, this punching the punch isn't really that hard. You can block a punch can't you? If you can touch it, you can punch it. We're not talking a wild haymaker into this guy's jab, rather you are simply doing little more than meeting it with knuckles exposed, but it hurts like anything and has devastating effects on the body. Quit trying to make ninjitsu harder than it is. That's why you don't understand it.

I would just love the opportunity of letting you test your martial limb punching prowess on me.

I reckon you'd be defending my strikes with your faces, necks and jaws.

Look what comes of trying to give a young boxer helpful advice in other areas, someone steps in and puts thier on foot in thier mouth. Maybe it would be better of you to think before you speak. You never know who your talking to?? You could be talking to someone with a little free time on his hands. Don't Talk Smack, if you can't really back it up Broham!

Im sorry to dig up the past, but here's your first tread post as thai bri.

"Hello everyone! I'm Thai Bri! Nothing whatsoever top do with that silly Bri Thai. Luckily he ceased to exist. But I am here to fill his King Fu slippers.

Heres a bit about myself.

I am old, fat and have hair so short I may as well be bald. Even my family call me Homer Simpson. But I hit hard! Oh Yes!

My hobbies include hitting things, kicking things and talking about hitting and kicking things.

I am eager to meet you all and slate your posts. Oh yes! On occasions I will educate you, because I do actually know everything. So say "Hi" and then agree with me, not matter what I say.

Doh!

In the ring you might get in trouble using punches like those, but in a street fight or a tough man fight you can humiliate your opponent. Now the CIA Training on CIA thing i watched they talked about learning ninjitsu skills in part of their training.
You really don't have time to punch someone elses wrist. Punches are too quick. This technique is way too fancy and not nearly as effective as a limb destruction.

I worked out with a guy who trained under Vunak and works with police and military. They would never punch another guys wrist.

Why the heck is there a ninjitsu post in the boxing thread
