Actually, i thought it was the original way O sensei taught Aikido, before changing the name.
At least that's what i thought anyway

I always thought aikijutsu was basically aikido, just with striking involved. Also I believe it is partially a sword art...the techniques of aikijutsu fall into iai jutsu and iaido techniques.

Iai jutsu, and iaido were sword styles or rather, types of forms of sword styles before aikijutsu
