The east coast has a lot of good jiu-jitsu schools. If BJJ is too pricey, you could always do Judo. Judo is more GI oriented, but it's not too difficult to switch from having a solid gi game to a solid no-gi game.
I found this online. I don't know if it's near you or not. An instructor can provide insights you would otherwise miss out on, and even if it's too far away to train regularly, private lessons and/or seminars could be helpful. Many Jiu-Jitsu schools will have a black belt come in every few months to hold seminars.
