Default Japanese Arts Transition Questions

Okay, as I've probably posted before I'm planning on taking a martial art class that they offer at the community college I go to. At first I was going to do Hapkido but then I realized I would like to do a sport related art so I can compete and eventually do MMA, if I so choose. My school has a jujutsu class but it is Miyama Ryu Jujutsu and according to their website it is combat jujutsu and not intended for sport. So that leaves me with Aikido, Judo and Karate. I don't really want to do Karate, so it boils down to Aikido vs. Judo.

I know Judo is a complete sport too, so that would be a plus if I decide I don't want to do MMA. But here is my main question: which would be an easier transition to jujutsu (probably Danzan Ryu), Aikido or Judo? I know they were both based off of Jujutsu, but which training would most likely compliment jujutsu as used in MMA?

Thanks for your time and any postive feedback would be greatly appreciated.

judo has proven to be really good in mma, check out yoshida. Aikido would not work as it is about not hurting the other person but just making room for escape, and there aint no escaping from the ring so i would definately choose judo....in fact i'm thinking about taking judo myself, i need to put on a bit of weight though or i'll just be thrown around the room like a ragdoll.

Miyama Ryu is cmbat jujutsu and is very good for SD. However, if you are looking tpo posibly go to the ring Judo would be your best bet and is a compliment and a typical compamion to jujutsu. If I had a coice of jujutsu styles I would choose miyama ryu over Danzan ryu. But both founder had ranking in Judo and incorportae into their systems
