Default Daikomyosai

Greetings,
I'm going to my first Daikomyosai this Saturday, and wanted to ask if anybody had more background information or good stories about the event. I'm much more interested in FMA than ninjutsu/budo taijutsu/bujinkan/etc. but could hardly turn down the opportunity to train for 6 hours for such a minimal fee, followed by a big party.
Yael

LOL!!! Shoot, I spelled it wrong! It's "Daikomyosai." My apologies, no disrespect intended.

LOL

No worries, just an easy excuse for (another) stupid joke!

Laughter is the best medicine.

So, have you been to the event?

Unfortunately Treelizard, most of the people on this forum (except for a few) have some odd dislike for anything to do with Ninjutsu. I have never figured out exactly why. In all probability, you will make an honest post, or ask an honest question, and have many stupid and immature jokes made against you. Jubaji is one of the main ninjustu haters here. Kind of makes you want to just get it over and switch to BJJ/Muay Thai...

Sorry, not one of the "main" haters here....that title goes to Sircnay, killerninja, garland and Robert G.

My all time favorite post, in the Korean section..."can't get a ninja to spar" tells you all you need to know about how seldom people around here respect bujinkan/genbukan...

I seem to remember a few other posts where stupid jokes were all anyone could come up with!

"do you have to bring your own radish?"

No, the correct answer would be this: "Sounds fun, Treelizard, please post and let us know how it went"
But, of course that would be too much to ask.

this forum is loaded with BJJ/MT types. Most of them have absolutely no respect for any other MAs.

Jujabi is definitely not the worst. He'll attack someone's boastful claim of techniques but rarely will bash a particular style.

Never been to the event but I went to a seminar in Cornwall taught by John Wilson. Was a more advanced seminar, mostly weapons somes locks and throws. Was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Seeing Sensei Wilson doing the techniques was quite amazing, hes someone that you would never think was this proficient in ninjistu. He is the highest ranking teacher in canada. Got to meet his son Jeff, he is one scary dude, you wouldn't think so at first but appearance is deceiving again. One of nicest guys in the world but insanely fast and powerful.
