Is this part of the Martial Arts or is this exclusively a Military skill?

I can't remember this old verse, it goes something like this though:
He who chooses to run away lives to fight another day... Or Sometimes discretion is the better part of Valor. Of course, I am sure I got your question completely wrong! ![]() (besides - the car as evasive or invasive tool? NVM, I guess it runs both ways!)

While I'm not going to don camos and war paint if I think a confrontation is likely, nor will I dive into some bushes and attempt to blend into the shrubbery every time someone with a hat slightly askewed walks my way, I do however try to avoid confrontation by doing a few simple things which might draw less attention to me.
I have a habit of drawing attention to myself simply because I have dreadlocks and due to living in a small town/city (pop of 80,000), it's not so common. Anyway, if I'm walking past a group of people I know regually start fights for the sake of starting fights, I'll simply conciously dissemble my features and don a disinterested look as though I'm not taking notice of anything going around me, and a vague smile while looking straight ahead. I'm not sure how succesfull it is, but I very rarely have people try to start fights with me over nothing, so I just assume that it's succesfull. I think this expression just doesn't give anyone any reason to have a qualm with me and makes me look relatively dull. Thoughts? |
