i think i would have liked the movie if it had been more realistic like braveheart or gladiator.

You went to a movie based on a comic book version of a historical event to see realism?

I think I may have found a flaw in your plan.

This all means that the conquerors were just smart enough to make sure that there numbers were stronger from battle to battle, but there numbers were never larger overall.
That's nothing special to the Mongols, Moors or Zulus though. If your army had to outnumber the entire population of the land you eventually wished to conquer, there would never be an invasion, but nummerical superiority in every individual battle is in effect just as good.

And anyway, it's kinda apples and oranges. The Samurai and the Spartans you think of when you hear the word never made up the majority of the armies of Japan or Sparta respectively. They were elite forces. Did the three groups you're talking about have something comparable, a creme de la creme? That would be an interesting comparison.

I'm afraid you're not going to get very far asking pUke about history. Its not his strong point. However, if you are looking for someone to repeat himself, well then he's your man!

Did I ever claim anything different?

I didnt think the english challenged them to "throw hands" and see who would win.

I just stated they won. And in awesome fashion with such a disadvantage in man power.

Definitely the Spartens. Didn't you see the movie, 300? Those guys were in good shape. Compare that to that Tom Cruise movie where he became a Samurai--not in as good shape. lol

Well, in 300, the spartanz fought the immortalz who were like samurai, and beat the crap outta them. But im pretty sure chuck norris could beat the samurai and the spartans at the same time, with his eyes closed.

The film 300 is based on a comic book which is based on the actual historical event in which there is very ,limited information on etc..... but i have to agree with you about Chuck Norris beating them both with his eyes closed

Chuck Norris FTW

And I'm just wondering how the American Indian should be a more respected fighting force than the Spartans or Samurai. Which insurmountable odds did they overcome, which great battles did they win, how many invasions did they stop, etc...

Plus everyone knows the english kicked the Zulu's ass.
Look up Geronimo, he and his warriors were pretty badass. It's been argued that they were some of the greatest guerilla fighters in history.
