Thanks Arieson. I have actually done a lot of real contact sparring with boken, but it was not within the confines of Japanese arts or rules. It was more like Dog Brother style sparring with hoickey gloves and a fencing helmet. And yes, it hurts.

But that's not even what I'm looking for. I feel at this point in my life like I have a pretty fair handle on what real fighting is all about. If I did this stuff, it would be for the meditative aspect and the philosophical understanding. To that end, I appreciate the efforts here to shed light on those aspects. And of course, as he's well aware, I have nothing but seething disdain for jubaji and the fact that he managed to further muddy a subject I already had a hard time understanding. Jubaji, you are a bastard of the highest order, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What's sad is I completely understand Jubaji. I just hate that you refuse to be my inside man. You're stabbing me in the back and working for the M A N!!

I did hear about something that could help me get there faster. Absynthe is fully legal in the US again, made with wormwood and up to 190 proof by some bottlers.

Maybe that stuff could get Dick Hardman off the sticky stuff and open his mind for real.

Getcha a ticket to Washington D.C., Dickie boy, and I'll do a couple shots with you.
