Default Okabayashi Shogen Sensei

Hi All,

My Japanese Daito Ryu teacher will be visiting the UK in November.

Okabayashi Sensei learned daito ryu from two of the most influential figures to have practiced in the last century, the late Soke Tokimune Takeda and the late Takuma Hisa that was Menkyo Kaiden (reciever of full transmittion). Sensei has a wealth of knowledge rarely found today, even in Japan, and his teaching provides a deep insight into this powerful art.

Okabayashi Sensei will be conducting two seminars.

The First seminar will be held on the 29th of November and will be on Daito Ryu Aiki JuJutsu. This seminar will show you the basic principles of daito ryu and their application in both kata and combat. This seminar will be held in Bracknel nr London.

His second seminar will take place on the 30th of November and will focus on the art of Ono Ha itto Ryu Kenjutsu. During this seminar sensei will be teaching the principles of the Ono Ha Itto Ryu and will provide some excellent demonstrations of this art. Sensei holds a Menkyo in Ono-ha Itto Ryu. This will be the first time sokaku den Ono ha itto Ryu Kenjutsu has been taught at a seminar in the UK. This seminar will be held near Gloucester, gloucestershire.

The costs for these two special seminars will be £30.00 per day. Each day will have approximately 4 hours of training and tuition.

If you want some more info about the art or Okabayashi Sensei then PM me - i will be happy to answer your questions. Also i will be able to provide you with exact locations.

For further information please contact Quentin Ball on +44 (0) 1452 739007 or e-mail on info@ninecircles.co.uk

Cheers Yall!

Chris

Sweet.

Ok, so the instructors name was Menkyo? And your instructor *has* a Menkyo? Odd....

Uh - no?

Menkyo Kaiden (full licence of transmittion) Takuma Hisa (name of person.

Okabayashi sensei (name) has a Menkyo (licence).

Will edit it anyways

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification. I thought that sounded odd. My mistake.

Anywho, make sure you write up about the seminar. It sounds like its going to be great.

Perhaps you should write up an article of the experience for The Martialist.
