![]() | There has been a few light conversations about forming a "Brotherhood" of Jun Fan practitioners. I am all for it. For me, I am lucky to live in Southern California and have access to train with alot of the L.A. Chinatown OBLS. But I have had a much more difficult time due to distance and finances in training with the Oakland and Seattle OBLS. And I don't know about you, but I want to not only taste all of that tea, but have a pot of each keeping warm on the stove. The "Brotherhood" would serve to bring us "Jun Fan" guys together and provide us an opportunity and almost an obligation to share what we have learned from the respective OBLS. Wiliam E. ![]() | Let's face it, the OBLS ain't getting any younger. The sand in the hourglass is slowly sifting and it will be up to the 2nd Gen Instructors to first keep the torch alive then pass it down. I personally want all of the information I can get before I pass on my torch. I may never get the chance to train with Jesse Glover, or Taky or Steve Golden or Bob Baker. But I can still learn what Bruce Lee taught them from their students. That is what the Brotherhood would provide for. I recently talked with Howard Williams about training with him. His response was "Why have I trained with so many of Bruces students? Why don't I just stick with one" I explained that I believe I learn different things from different instructors and that Bruce taught differently according to where he was in his development and who the student was. Bottom line, I was not invited to train with Mr Williams. |

![]() | Alright, last point then it is up for grabs. Although several of us have our own organizations and agendas, we could still get together a couple of times per year to share and exchange. Grow from one another. I am not adverse to concepts people being involved per say, But my aim is to preserve Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, not Kali, Sliat, Muay Thai, BJJ 0 or whatever the flavor of the month is. We could co host and cooperatively promote seminars for and with eachother. Bring in our "Sifus" and invite eachother down to taste the tea. Not enforcement. Not a Certification mill. A platform for growth, exchange and most importanly preservation of JFJKD. JUMP BALL! Who wants it? Doc? Lamar" Chris? Sean? Marco? Paul? Johnny W.?, Tommy? Kawabunga, William E.
