    Thai Bri
since you frequently post about Senshido, I figured I'd have a look at their main website. Senshido is refined, in that it seems to have cut out most of the junk. I am interested in learning, but cannot travel to most of their seminar locations.

Have you checked out thier DVD's? And if you were to suggest one DVD, what would it be? They state on their site that learning via DVD actually produced the same results as in class training. I just want to make sure this is not a marketing hype, and at the same time evolve my MA.

Thank you, for anybody that shares their time and knowledge.

I have most of their tapes (will be getting the dvds soon though) and they are simply some of the best I have seen. They improved my skills by ten fold, the Senshido materials are very easily learned and they make so much damn sense! You have to see them to understand. Rich comes across very friendly and he's very easy to listen to. Hell even my wife likes his tapes and that says quite a bit check them out you won't be dissaponited I assure you!

    Deluxe Shredder Package?

The reason I ask is that With 26 tapes at $30 a piece..and the packages are all over $100, I would hope it is worth the money.

did you get one of the deluxe packages? Or did you buy all the tapes?

Just wondering which tape to start with, and then If I still like it, I'll probably be hooked and end up buying them all, one at a time.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hi mate. Try the Shredder, or maybe the Shredder Package. They not only give you a great taste of what Senshido is all about, they also teach you one of the best, yet easiest to learn, fighting concepts that there has ever been.

    Good luck!

HtTKar its well worth the money and more. Best dollars I ever spent on instructionals. They changed my entire outlook on hand to hand, they also have some of the best drills I've ever been exposed to. Order the tapes mate, you won't be dissapointed.

Not to sound like a fanboy, but his tapes/material are worth absolutely every penny. There are VERY, VERY few things I'd dish out over 20 or 30 bucks for, be it clothes, CDs, whatever, but those tapes/books I'd skip several meals and have done that to purchase, because it's so worth it, and you learn something everytime. And it's one of those things where you can incorporate the stuff Rich teaches into your own curriculum, whatever that may be.

Nowadays, instructors think because they mention 'adrenal stress' and 'gross motor' they hit everything in the psychological aspects of fighting. Rich goes wayyyy above and beyond that. The psychological and behavioral information and tidbits alone are morethan worth the price.

    Wow,
Thank you guys. From all the great responses I'm going to get the shredder package. Can't wait to learn something completely different again.

You won't be sorry you did, in my opinion along with Jigoro Kano, Bruce Lee and the Gracies, Rich Dimitri is right up there as one of the revolutionists of the martial arts and the shredder is bar none the single best thing I have learned in the last decade. Post a review of it after viewed it.

But remember, HtTKar, Rich, his materials and Senshido are far beyond just the "Shredder". It's success' positive points is that, well, it probably is the best concept I've learned to date, but the same success makes people believe all Senshido is, is the Shredder, and it couldn't be further from the truth, but it's certainly not a bad place to start.

Oh I second that I've learned new things from every one of his tapes I own, the drills alone are worth the price. You want to see 'alive' pick up any of his tapes man his guys beat the crap out of each other and his second in command Helen is a tigress!

It seems Dimitri's seminars in the UK were a huge hit, over a hundred and twenty five people attended with rave reviews. Anyone here going to the California seminar? I'm trying to get there if my wife will let me
