Default Boxing Blast

There is a modified version of the strait blast taught by Burton Richardson called a boxing blast which utelizes boxing style punches. Your hands are held higher like a boxing or thai boxing style to generate more power and protect your head better. The footwork and combos are the same as the strait blast. It's just a variation. I think this is what Vitor Belfort was using.

Thanks m.artist I'll have to remember that.

I personally like the straightblast its very handy. But there are weaknesses like if you charge in a people side step learned that one the hard way against a Savate guy I sparred with. also its reach is not all that good I learned that from a boxer he jabed me good or should I say bad. I learned to adapt it now for myself i shuffel instead of run and I'm alot more picky about when I use it so my opponent cant see it coming. Its much better to use in combination such as kicks or jabs. I also find its realy the only way i can do any practicle trapping for myself atleast. all in all if you train hard with it and use it wisely with other weapons its a awsome weapon and not to mention devastating.
