JKD guys are mostly open to new ideas even if they're thousands of years old and steeped in mythology and legend. Such is the case with modern kerambits. All you need to do is put one in your hand (reverse grip w/ index finger in the ring) and it's many diverse uses become obvious. An ear to ear grin almost always follows.

A while back I approached a knifemaker in Texas about making a set of karambits (James Coogler, CNC Blade WERKZ) I sent him a crude sketch and they should be here next week! I'm so excited I just wanted to tell the whole world! They will be made from L-6 and have three teeth on the spine (back blade) I ordered them w/out handles so I can add my own personal touch to his fine craftsmanship! I'll try to get some pics up when they're finished!
