How was Bruce Lee marketed

Can anyone really explain how Bruce Lee was marketed? In trems of how did his fans receive his image. What was his image? Any information on this subject will be very helpful. Thanks all.

Bruce came along at a time where the American M/A base was recieving exposer. He unlike most chinese taught any body that he chose to teach. And Gung Fu was not as exposed. He taught a modified W/C method. And met several of the top M/A of the time. Shared and learned. Then Ed Parker invited him to demo at his tournament. Much exposer came from that. It helped him towards the green hornet Kato part. Exposed him to other M/A people. And led towards His future in his later movies. NOW days It could have been very different. His age. His traing time. The much more knowledge out there today. He may have Just been another M/A . But he came at the right time. AND was able to create and sound training JKD go on to the big screen. And help change the M/A world. Often times look to hard At Bruce and not look hard enough at there self. Or the training and understanding behind his art. Bruce aimed and the person. So they could train and use there own tools of JKD Just as he did his JKD students had to develop theres. And understand there selfs there wants and needs. Through his method JKD. Then go on. But should be left for others to do the same
