Arrow the value of JKD concepts

I think that whatever one can say about a certain historical figure, a fundamental fact of life remains: you can evaluate a teacher by the quality of his students. Of the 30-35 former BL students still living, each one of those men could give the average martial artist a great education in self-defense. I would rather be training under Poteet, Tackett, or Ted Wong rather than
sweating thru katas and kiais at just about any tkd or karate school on Earth.
Now I want to consider an "average man" with no fighting background.
The average man is not a professional figher (who care how he started) or a natural superathlete (he can be great at anything physical.) Let's assume our man is marginally athletic with no fighting background, no weights, no hs wrestling, or anything else to recommend him as a fighter. How do you take a guy like that and turn him into a "war machine" who eats lightning and craps thunder, and do so in six months? Get him into Dan's school and let him train full-time in six arts, that is how! Dan is a reflection of Bruce. I (in no way) want to denigrate the Original JKD people-
working on Bruce's original material is wholly legitimate. However, cross-training in a weapons art, a grappling art, boxing, muay thai, and kali is the best way to turn Joe Belowaverage into a heartbreakerlifetaker like Sgt. Joker or Sgt. Cowboy.
