its bruce lees style. he didnt want it to be one, but it is now. and there are many people who have their own systems based off him and make sure to include jun fan because thats what bruce lee did and give certifications in their own "jkd" programa. its all about big bucks.however bruce lee himself said that if u were to ever see any school saying they taught "jkd" that u should stay away from it because its not true, jkd isnt a style that can be taught.

btw, i hope if bruce lees wife sees this post that she doesnt try to contact me or sue me for using the name "jkd" that she now owns. this money hungry woman has so much of bruce lees material that we will never see or know about. bruce lee wrote volumes of books, but the tao of jkd is such a small book, its only a sliver of the knowledge bruce had. now u got all these hermies trying to cash in on "jkd".

i think dan inosanto is awesome, but still isnt it wrong of him to teach "jkd"?
its what bruce was against.

btw, i heard the triads killed bruce, who was set up by his mistress, for going to america and not paying them for putting up cash for his films anymore, since he went to hollywood. anyone heard this before?

In his movies he does not have a style. Thats what is sooo brilliant about it. He has the speed, power, flexability, tools etc. But he just uses them as they are. No thought, no style, no rules. The essence of the expression of the human body, and the essence of JKD (the concepts / liberation / 'dream', not the style(s) we have today).

In reply to EmptyneSs' post on Dan Inosanto, your damn right he's awesome! I heard that Dan Inosanto taught JKD because once BL died, nobody, except Dan, really knew what JKD was all about, and many people were passing of their truth as 'The Truth' if you know what i mean.

Thumbs up On Dan Inosanto

Personally, there's only a few that can give us a true insight to what JKD is about, and I feel dan inosanto is one. In my opinion, he's doesn't try to train jkd to his students by learning a bunch of different styles, but tries his best incorporate methods which enhances an individuals endurance, speed, balance, strength, and skill during a fight.

well in the movies he uses JKD. Inosanto isn't wrong in teaching JKD because it is a base for people to get started. after that they can do what bruce wanted them to do. he wasn't set up by his mistress, that's just BS someone sold really well to you.

JKD: Jeet Kune Do: "The Way of the Intercepting Fist."

is a combonation of Wing Chung, Westren Boxing, Muay Thai (came later), French Savate, fencing, etc. Used with the economy of motion principle to make a very affective way of winning a fight. to find out more check out www.inosanto.com
